Recommended Dosage

Recommended dosage: approximately 0.2% of the wax weight.

For example:

• 100 g wax – approx. 0.2 g;
• 500 g wax – approx. 1 g;
• 1000 g wax – approx. 2 g.

At a 0.2% dosage, one 10 g pack is sufficient to colour approximately 5 kg of wax.

Use a smaller amount for a softer orange shade.

How to Use

Add the dye-pigment to fully melted wax and mix thoroughly to distribute the colour evenly throughout the wax.

As this product is a dye and pigment blend, it is important to ensure both even distribution of the soluble dye component and uniform dispersion of the pigment particles. BEKRO notes that pigment particles need to be evenly dispersed in the wax.

The final shade will depend on:

• the type and natural colour of the wax;
• colour concentration;
• fragrance oils and other additives;
• production and cooling conditions.

Vegetable waxes generally produce softer, less intense colours than paraffin wax. Soy and other vegetable waxes may require a higher loading for a deeper orange shade.

We recommend making a small test candle before producing larger batches and assessing the final colour only after the wax has completely set.

Natural waxes may also develop frosting or pull away from the sides of the container. These effects are related to the properties of the wax and do not necessarily indicate a problem with the colourant.
