A rich oriental woody, tobacco and vanilla fragrance combining warm spices with dried fruits, cocoa, honey and a deep woody base.

The composition opens with ginger, tobacco leaves, anise and coriander. At the heart, tobacco blossom is layered with spices, clove bud and nutmeg, alongside the sweet richness of dried plum, fig and date.

The base is warm and full-bodied, combining tobacco, tonka bean, cocoa, vanilla, benzoin, honey and cedarwood for a dark, sweetly smoky and balsamic finish.

A warm, spicy and woody fragrance particularly well suited to autumn and winter candle and home-fragrance collections.

Product Properties

The flash point is not the recommended temperature for adding fragrance oil to wax.

Recommended Use

Candles:

• paraffin wax – approximately 4–6%;
• vegetable wax – approximately 5–6%;
• recommended maximum in vegetable wax – 10%.

Always take the wax manufacturer's recommended fragrance load into account.

A higher fragrance concentration does not necessarily produce stronger scent performance. We recommend carrying out a test pour and full burn test before larger-scale production.

Reed diffusers:

• up to 20% with Augeo Clean Multi, subject to the current technical and IFRA documentation for this fragrance.

Room fragrance products:

• up to 5% with a cyclopentasiloxane base, according to the supplied documentation.

Evaluating the Fragrance

Fragrance oil is a concentrated fragrance composition, so we do not recommend smelling it directly from the bottle.

For an initial assessment, apply a small amount to a fragrance testing strip.

The true character, intensity and performance of the fragrance are best evaluated in the finished product.

Vanillin and Colour Changes

This fragrance oil contains vanillin.

Vanillin and other components of the fragrance composition may:

• give white or very pale wax a yellow or brown tint;
• cause pale products to darken over time;
• affect the colour of reed diffuser or room fragrance bases.

This does not necessarily indicate a quality problem. Always carry out a small compatibility test and monitor colour development before larger-scale production.

If the base, concentration or composition changes, the classification and labelling of the finished product must be reassessed.

The 10% candle SDS and CLP template is not a recommendation to use 10% fragrance oil in every candle.
