KERAGREEN® RAPESEED CONTAINER is a 100% rapeseed-based vegetable wax specifically developed for container candles.

The wax is produced from rapeseed sourced mainly from France and neighbouring European countries. Its formulation is designed for easy processing, good adhesion to glass and a smooth, bright finish after cooling.

It is particularly suitable for scented candles poured into glass, metal and other suitable candle containers.

Technical Information

Instructions for Use

Melt the Wax

Heat the wax under controlled conditions.

Do not exceed 60 °C.

Once fully melted, stir gently to ensure an even temperature and consistency.

Add Fragrance Oil

Optimal fragrance load:

5–8%

Maximum:

10%

Add fragrance oil at a temperature of at least 54 °C.

Always consider:

• the fragrance-specific IFRA limit;
• the practical fragrance capacity of the wax;
• wick selection;
• container diameter;
• dyes and other additives.

A higher fragrance concentration does not necessarily provide stronger scent performance.

Add Candle Dye

Oil-soluble powder candle dyes are recommended to be added at approximately 60 °C.

Mix thoroughly until evenly dispersed.

Pour

Recommended starting pour temperature:

45 °C

The optimum temperature may vary depending on:

• container size and material;
• room temperature;
• fragrance and fragrance load;
• dyes;
• desired surface finish.

Cooling

Allow candles to cool gradually at a stable room temperature.

Avoid draughts, cold surfaces and sudden temperature changes.

The appearance of plant-based wax can be influenced by both production and ambient conditions.

Wick Selection

Select the wick according to:

• internal container diameter;
• fragrance load;
• dyes;
• container geometry;
• wick construction.

Container diameter alone is not sufficient for final wick selection.

Every finished formulation should be validated with a full burn test.

Curing

Carry out the first burn test no earlier than 48 hours after pouring.

Use consistent production and curing conditions when comparing different formulations.

Packaging & Wholesale

Original manufacturer's packaging: 20 kg carton.

Smaller quantities are repacked according to the weight ordered.
