A lightweight and practical round aluminium tin with lid, suitable for container candle making. The tin has a capacity of 225 ml and is coated with a lacquer suitable for food contact.

Its compact metal design makes it suitable for a wide range of candle styles, including minimalist, travel-size, gift and seasonal collections.

• TB-22;
• Wedo STABILO 14.

These wick sizes are starting recommendations only. The final wick size will depend on the wax, fragrance load, colourants, additives and other formulation variables.

Always carry out a full burn test before producing larger batches.

Wick Sustainers for Metal Tins

Because metal candle tins have a relatively thin base, we recommend using wick sustainers with a longer neck.

A longer-neck sustainer helps the flame extinguish before it reaches the very bottom of the container, reducing the risk of excessive heating of the metal base and the surface underneath the candle.

Preparation

Before making a candle, ensure that the inside of the tin is:

• clean;
• completely dry;
• free from dust and grease.

We recommend washing and degreasing the tin before use. If washed with water, allow it to dry completely before pouring wax.

Candle Safety

Always burn candles in metal containers on a stable, non-combustible and heat-resistant surface.

Metal can become very hot during burning. Do not touch or move the container while the candle is lit, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
