C-3 is suitable for candles with TB, cotton & linen, cotton & hemp, wooden wicks.

Candles larger than 8.89 cm may require two wicks.

This wax is sensitive to changes in temperature and the surface of poured wax may crack in cold environments.

  • Purpose: most suitable for scented candles in jars, suitable for use with fragrance oils (up to 7-8% in wax, sometimes additives may be necessary) or essential oils (up to 6% in wax), massage candles.
  • Shape: Flakes.
  • Melting point: + 45 ° C.
  • Maximum heating temperature: +71.1 - 93.3 ° C.
  • The optimum content of fragrance in the wax is 6 per cent, the maximum - 8 per cent.
  • Recommended pouring temperature: + 48.9°C - + 73.8°C.

Hardening properties: a single pour is usually sufficient, shrinks slightly when solidified, good adhesion to container walls can be achieved by warming containers before pouring and allowing to solidify slowly. Candles should be allowed to set for at least 48 hours before lighting. Vegetable waxes (soya, coconut, palm, etc.) are constantly changing their structure (becoming drier, harder) after casting, so be patient and wait at least 10 to 14 days before testing. It will continue to harden throughout its life.

Melting of the whole surface when the candle is burning: this should not happen during the first burning, which would mean that the wick is too big, usually the whole surface melts during 3-5 burnings, and the wax residue melts spontaneously when the container heats up.

Cargill's recommendations for the correct use of this wax.

Wax storage conditions: Best stored at +18°C to +29°C. Protect from extreme conditions, i.e. > +32°C heat and <+5°C temperature.

About the manufacturer: For the US company Cargill, Incorporated, the production of vegetable wax is just one of many activities in which it has specialised for many years.
