These professional wick holders help you to keep the wick straight and secure at the bottom of the container when making an outdoor candle.

The wick sizes that work with the type 37 holders are:

• Raw wick for outdoor candles B, size 3,
• Raw wick for outdoor candles B, size 4.

How to use:

Wick sustainer is an essential product for the creation of container candles. It keeps the wick straight when you pour the wax, fixing it to the bottom of the container and stopping the wick from floating in the wax.

Before inserting the wick into the wick sustainer, cover your wick with wax to make it rigid. To do this, melt some wax in a bain-marie (don't use a gas stove). Dip the wick into the wax, put it out and hold it with both hands wearing gloves to avoid touching the hot wax to your skin. Hold it like this for a few seconds, then repeat.

When the wick is covered with a slight layer of wax, cut it to the desired length and insert it into the wick holder. Press the neck of the wick holder (if necessary, use the pliers) to fix it to the wick.

Finally, fix the base of the wick by pouring a small amount of wax into the container until the wick sustainer is completely covered. When the first layer of wax has hardened and become thick and opaque, pour the rest of the wax into the container.
