Wicks in this size are 127 mm long.
“LCB .04” boosted wooden wicks are designed for waxes that are harder to burn or burn more slowly, including 100% soy wax and beeswax for container candles. Each wick consists of two joined components: a main wooden wick and an additional thin wooden strip that boosts the burn.
The 25.4 mm wide wick is recommended as a starting point for testing in containers with an internal diameter of approximately 95 mm. Suitability depends on the combination of wax, fragrance oil, dye and container, so burn testing is essential.
Pack of 10 wicks. Metal wick clips are not included – purchase them separately here.

Natural wood and testing
Wood is a natural material, so individual wicks may vary. The manufacturer, Makesy, cannot guarantee identical burning results.
Before gifting or selling candles, test at least three identical candles made with the same wax, fragrance, dye, wick and container. Assess their performance throughout their useful life.
Tannins are naturally occurring plant compounds found in wood, bark, leaves and other plant parts. They can contribute to the colour of the wood and darkening of the wax.
Use and wick care
Before lighting, trim the wick to 3–5 mm above the wax surface. An overly long wick may burn poorly or go out.
Before each relight, allow the candle to cool and carefully remove the charred portion of the wick.
If the flame weakens because of accumulated char, extinguish the candle, let it cool and clean the wick.
A full melt pool does not necessarily need to form during the first burn. Assess wick suitability over several burn cycles.
Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Wooden wicks are not self-trimming. If the flame becomes too high, extinguish the candle and trim the wick once it has cooled.
Stop using the candle when approximately 13 mm of wax remains at the bottom of the container.
Fragrance oil concentration
A 6% fragrance oil concentration can be a starting point for testing, provided it is permitted by the wax and fragrance oil documentation. Determine the appropriate amount through testing, assessing flame height, char build-up, wax consumption, scent throw and container temperature.
