Rapeseed, Hemp & Palm Wax

Discover rapeseed, hemp and palm waxes and wax blends – alternatives and complements to traditional soy waxes, suitable for different types of candles, wax melts and other wax-based products.

This category includes both softer waxes for container candles and firmer waxes for pillar candles, so it is important to choose the wax according to its intended application.

Rapeseed Waxes

Rapeseed wax can be used for both container and pillar candles, depending on the specific formulation.

Our range includes:

• KERAGREEN® RAPESEED CONTAINER – rapeseed wax for container candles;
• KERAGREEN® PILLAR 95 – rapeseed wax for pillar candles;
• POLYCERIN® 9562 – rapeseed wax for pillar candles.

Rapeseed & Coconut Waxes

Rapeseed and coconut wax blends vary in hardness and intended application:

• NatureWax® 660-55M – designed for scented wax melts, tea lights and small-diameter candles;
• NatureWax® Elite 600 – a softer rapeseed and coconut wax for container candles.

Coconut wax can also be used in blends with other plant-based waxes to achieve specific properties for different candle formulations.

Hemp Wax

Hemp wax is produced using CO₂ extraction and has a naturally dark greenish colour and soft texture.

Due to its colour and properties, it is particularly suitable as an additive in wax blends, where it can contribute additional visual or textural characteristics, rather than as a universal primary candle wax.

Palm Wax

Palm Wax 1701A is an RSPO-certified wax for pillar candles. As it sets, it can develop a distinctive crystalline surface, making it particularly suitable for decorative candles where a more pronounced wax texture is desired.

How to Choose?

If you are making a container candle, choose a rapeseed or rapeseed-and-coconut wax specifically designed for this purpose.

If you are making a pillar candle in a mould, choose a firmer rapeseed or palm wax.

For wax melts and tea lights, choose a wax whose technical documentation specifically lists these applications.

We recommend using hemp wax as a specialised additive in wax blends and carrying out tests before production.

Different waxes may vary in melting temperature, fragrance addition temperature, pouring temperature, hardness and recommended fragrance load, so always follow the individual product description and technical documentation.

Before starting larger-scale production, we recommend carrying out a full test with the selected wax or wax blend, fragrance oil, dye, wick and container or mould.
