The Cervino BK wick is a traditional, flat, three-strand braided wick made from pure cotton. It is soft and constructed to maximise wax absorption in small diameter tapered candles. This product is suitable for use with 100% stearic acid and soy pillar tapered style candles. Please note that the wick size may need to be adjusted for the specific wax used. Additionally, this wick is visibly whiter than the TB series wick.

This wick is recommended for use in the following candle types:

• Lighting or church candles
• Vegetable stearin candles for candlesticks
• Decorative candlestick candles
• Candlestick beeswax candles

Please find below our recommended wick sizes:

• For stearic acid (20-30mm diameter candles): Cervino 39 BK; Cervino 42 BK; Cervino 45 BK; Cervino 48 BK;
• Soy wax (20 - 30mm diameter candles): Cervino 39 BK, Cervino 42 BK and Cervino 45 BK.

Please note that the indicated wick burning diameter for the wick size is only a recommendation and has been determined by testing in wax without additives.

Please note that should the candle drip melted wax during combustion, it will be necessary to use a bigger wick and not a smaller one. Tapered candles burn in a process that is the exact opposite to standard pillar candles (with a diameter of at least 45 mm). When they drip wax, it is necessary to use a bigger flame, which will absorb a bigger quantity of melted wax!
