Tefacid® 1 VL stearic acid is suitable as a wax hardener (use up to 10 - 30%) or for manufacturing 100% molded stearin candles. Stearic acid AAK Tefacid 1 VL is different in the chemical structure than a wax and is much harder, which allows for the use in manufacturing tapered and pillar candles. It is a straight chain aliphatic monocarboxylic stearic acid based on tallow and a vegetable component mix. Tallow used in this stearic acid has a strong sustainability as it origins from animal fat waste.
