BE 60 is an additive used in waxes with a higher oil content, especially in greasy vegetable waxes or waxes with fragrances, sold in packs of 10 g.

BE 60 is designed to improve candle burning and reduce oil migration. For example, if a lot of fragrance oil is added and this clogs the candle wick, this additive helps to distribute the fragrance evenly throughout the candle crystallization process and thus the wick is less affected and clogged. 

The features of BE 60:

• it can increase the burn rate by up to 25%,
  
• binds the oil in fragranced candles,
• optimization of burn-up and combustion behavior,
• improves candle surface,
• effective at low doses, i.e. suggested dosage is 0.2% to 0.5% of your wax weight,
• suitable with all types of waxes: paraffin, stearin and hydrogenated fats (vegetable waxes).

More about BE 60:

In candle making, waxes are mixed in a liquid state, mostly with color and fragrance. On cooling, the waxes form a crystalline structure in which color and fragrance are stored.

BE 60 guarantees the formation of a uniform crystal structure and creates more space for liquid components such as paraffin oil and perfumes. The exudation of oil and perfume is reduced, which has a positive effect on cold and hot fragrance throw.

Thanks to the homogeneous distribution of color and fragrance in the crystal structure, the combustion is better and more uniform, measured by the amount of "fuel" consumed in grams/hour.

Suggested starting dosage 0.2% to 0.5% of your wax weight. Start with a small pinch and measure your additive according to the ratio of your wax.

What is the maximum amount I can use?

According to BEKRO testings, 0.5% is the saturation level, so you can add more, but you won't get better results. So 0.5% is the maximum according to tests and recommendations.

How much does the dosage differ for different kind of waxes?

The more fat/oil the wax has and the higher the scent %, the more BE 60 you should add. If we are talking about paraffin with a lot of scent - 0.2% is more than enough, but if we use wax which has a lot of fat (soy, coconut, rapeseed, etc.) and add more scent, then we add up to the recommended maximum - 0.5%.
