KERAGREEN® SOY PILLAR is a French-made soy wax specifically developed for pillar and moulded candles.
It can be used in its natural colour or blended with fragrance oils and oil-soluble candle dyes.
The KERAGREEN® range is 100% plant-based and formulated without added processing additives, so careful control of temperature, fragrance load, dye, wick and cooling conditions is particularly important.
SOY PILLAR is harder than soy wax designed for container candles, allowing the finished candle to hold its shape after being removed from a suitable mould.
Production batch No. 2026-03954.
COSMOS V4 certified by ECOCERT.

How to Work with KERAGREEN® SOY PILLAR
- Heat the wax only until fully melted and avoid exceeding approximately 70 °C.
- Add fragrance oil at 68 °C or above.
- Stir thoroughly and evenly without incorporating unnecessary air.
- Add powdered candle dye at around 68 °C, and liquid dye or dye chips at around 70 °C.
- Pour at approximately 65 °C.
- Allow the candle to cool evenly, away from draughts and sudden temperature changes.
- Larger candles may require a second pour because of shrinkage during cooling.
- Allow at least 48 hours before carrying out a full burn test.
For Very Small Moulds
Very small or highly detailed moulds can sometimes perform better at lower processing and pouring temperatures.
This should be treated as a practical optimisation rather than a universal manufacturer specification.
The best temperature depends on:
- mould size;
- mould material;
- room temperature;
- fragrance oil;
- dye;
- candle geometry.
If small moulds show cracking, excessive shrinkage or surface defects, adjust the working temperature gradually and test each formulation separately.
Fragrance Load
The optimal fragrance load is approximately 5–8%, with a stated maximum of 10%.
The correct amount depends on the fragrance oil, candle geometry, wick, dyes and processing conditions.
More fragrance does not automatically improve scent performance.
Always carry out a test pour and full burn test before larger-scale production.
Recommended Wicks
For initial testing, raw TB-series wicks are recommended.
The final wick size depends on:
- candle diameter;
- shape;
- fragrance load;
- dyes;
- finished wax formulation.
Every finished candle formulation must be validated with a full burn test.
Colour and Surface Appearance
Natural soy wax can show subtle variations in colour, crystallisation and surface appearance.
The finished result may be affected by:
- pouring temperature;
- mould temperature;
- cooling rate;
- fragrance oil;
- dye;
- ambient temperature.
Such visual variations do not necessarily indicate a quality defect.
